Saving money is not always easy, but it is always doable if you follow these tips. Maybe you are living from paycheck to paycheck, and you can’t seem to get ahead. Or, perhaps you live on a fixed income and seldom have any money left over for entertainment.

But, how do you do that? I have been working on several strategies and will share with you my top ways to save money regardless of your income.
You can only save money if you earn more than you need to live on. And at most, you can only save the difference between what you make, and what you need to live frugally. So you need to take a good hard look at your expenses and make a budget.
If you want to save more money, there is always the option to make more money. You can look for a better job, a parttime job or an online job that you can do from home. There are many advantages of working from home. Straight off, you will save money on transportation, eating out, and purchasing work clothes, etc.
Another way to save money is to bucket your money. n payday divvy up your paycheck into several different (‘zero account keeping fee) bank accounts; Maybe 4 accounts.
Pay yourself first. Beginning of the month, or whenever you get your payment, before spending in services, credits, or mortgages; put some of that money into a savings account which you can’t touch for a while. It slowly starts to compound and sooner than later you have a nice cushion for emergencies.
One fast way to save money is to get out of debt. Avoid getting into debt if it is at all possible. keep in mind that paying off debts eats into your savings since you are paying tons of interest that you could be saving.
If you are in debt and struggling, that 20% for the “big goal” account should be used to pay down your debts.
This is probably the best place to cut back on spending. There are so many stores vieing for your money that you could save tons of money if you are willing to look for the deals.
Impulse buying is purchasing items that you don’t really need but would like to have. You purchase these items on an ‘impulse’. One strategy in marketing is to place items that are attractive to shoppers at the entrance of the store, or near the cash register. This invites shoppers to pick up more items than they need.
I personally do not like to use cash because I have trouble remembering where my cash went.
It is a very rewarding experience to find that you have money left over after you have done your shopping. Put any leftover money in a piggy bank or savings account. You will be amazed how quickly your savings will grow. No amount is too small.
